In 1903 a dream began with the opening of GB Smith Greenhouses, later becoming Smith Floral and Greenhouse by its founder, Gurdon Smith. Located at the corner of Kalamazoo and River Streets, next to the river, the business would grow until after 1907 when a flood came in April of 1908.

Today Smith Floral and Greenhouses share a five acre location at 1124 E. Mt. Hope Rd. where they have enjoyed being since 1950.

Our Greenhouses and retail garden center provide the finest quality and selection of plants and decor in Lansing, MI. Our garden center carries a variety of plants, including annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, hanging baskets, and cacti. We also carry house plants both green and flowering.
